The University of Manchester Middle East Centre is pleased to invite you for an online information session by Dr. Alexander Gardner-Mctaggart, to learn about our newly launched part-time Masters (MA) Educational Leadership in Practice programme in Dubai. 

Our new Educational Leadership in Practice Master’s programme has been designed in a flexible format, allowing you to balance your existing commitments with studying a Postgraduate qualification. As a student, you’ll be studying with international Educational Leadership experts and global leaders in the delivery of Educational Leadership with over 22 years’ of international teaching and research experience.

About Dr Alexander Gardner-Mctaggart

Alex is the course director of Masters in Educational Leadership in Practice, for the University of Manchester and a lecturer in educational leadership , having joined as senior lecturer in leadership from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS). He has taught and researched internationally since 1995, and his research seeks to better understand globalising pressures on education and its leadership through the lens of equity, distinction and power.

Alex is a convenor of the International and Comparative Education Special Interest Group (SIG) of the British Educational Research Association (BERA) and is an active member of the British Educational Leadership Management and Administration Society (BELMAS) and its Critical Education Policy (CEP) research interest group. His PhD on international educational leadership at the University of Nottingham was supervised by Tony Bush and Howard Stevenson and was the first of its kind to explore senior leadership in international schools, as well as has a keen interests in research around educational leadership, international education, and global citizenship education.
