Clinical Bioinformatics Information Webinar with Ang Davies and Frances Hooley

The University of Manchester Middle East Centre has introduced a new post-graduate certificate course in Clinical Bioinformatics to meet regional demand for the skills needed to bridge between cutting-edge science and the delivery of genomic medicine in clinical practice. The 12-month course is delivered purely online and starts in May 2020, led by a specialist team at The University of Manchester which has trained bioinformaticians in the UK’s National Health Service (NHS). The course is designed for researchers working in the field and students will benefit from support provided by the Middle East Centre in Dubai.

The fully-online post-graduate certificate is a practical and clinically-focused course aimed at developing the skills to produce high quality bioinformatic workflows to analyse and interpret clinical genomic data. Participants will study units such as next generation sequencing and an introduction to programming, and critical methods of genomic analysis.
