In 2026, The University of Manchester – Dubai marked a significant milestone: 20 years of engagement, impact and partnership in the Middle East. Over the past two decades, the Middle East branch has grown into a vibrant hub for master's education, alumni engagement and thought leadership, supporting professionals and organisations across the region.
This anniversary was not just a moment to look back with pride, but an opportunity to celebrate the community that has shaped our journey, our students, alumni, partners and friends and to look ahead to the future we are building together.
Throughout the year, we hosted a series of activities and events to mark this milestone, beginning with a special celebration in February at our home in Dubai Knowledge Park.

The 20th Anniversary Festival
Our anniversary celebrations officially began on February 12, 2026 as we brought together our community for an evening that reflected the spirit and values of The University of Manchester.
Hosted at Dubai Knowledge Park, the festival united our social responsibility partners and strategic talent partners for a unique experience centred on collaboration, learning and shared purpose. The evening featured an outdoor festival atmosphere with interactive activities and games, alongside moments of insight and reflection.
A key highlight of the programme was a masterclass led by Professor Ken McPhail, Head of Alliance Manchester Business School, offering perspectives on leadership, responsibility and the evolving role of business in society.
This special evening set the tone for a year of celebration — honouring 20 years in the region while continuing our commitment to positive impact, meaningful partnerships and lifelong learning.
